Parmesan Cheese. Cream. Garlic. On a bed of soft noodles.
When it comes to food I’m not sure that any words could be more enticing.
These Creamy Garlic Noodles are requested by my husband on frequent basis. In fact, as I was preparing this for dinner the other day, he said “You know what we haven’t had in a while are those really good creamy noodles you make”. It was fun surprising him with “those really good creamy noodles” with his dinner.
The noodles practically swim in the delicious, creamy, garlicky sauce. As a perfect complimentary side dish to nearly any meal, this recipe is quick to put together and rewarding to eat!
Creamy Garlic Noodles
8 oz. Dry Pasta (I love using shell pasta but any kind works)
1 T. Olive Oil
1 T. Butter
2 Garlic Cloves, minced (I add a little extra)
2 T. Flour
3/4 C. Chicken Broth
3/4 C. Milk (or Cream)
Salt & Pepper to taste
1/4 C. Parmesan Cheese
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
2 tsp. Parsley Flakes
Boil pasta until soft. Drain. In medium pan, melt oil and butter; sauté garlic (do not burn). Stir in flour until bubbly. Add milk and chicken broth. Stir constantly until thick and creamy. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and remaining ingredients. Pour over pasta and stir well. Enjoy!
I like to serve this with Herb Crusted Chicken Breast and a veggie. With a recipe this good, you really can’t go wrong!
